Who we are
Sparesdock is a trading name of Sculf B.V., KvK number 94352828, registered office Zaagmolenpad 101, Doetinchem, 7008 AH. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@sparesdock.com.
What we collect and why
Enquiries and parts lists. When you send a list or a message, by form, email, phone or WhatsApp, we hold your name, company, contact details and the content of the enquiry. We use it to quote, to fulfil orders and to answer you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and performance of the contract.
Customer and supplier accounts. For trading customers and suppliers we hold contact, delivery, invoicing and payment details, and the correspondence and documents connected with each order. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal obligations, including tax and export records.
Website. Our web server records the IP address, time and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure site.
Visit statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, the page you came from, your country and device type. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Cookies
With your consent we use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to measure visits and how our adverts perform, including whether a visit ended in an enquiry. No Google cookies are set until you press Accept, and you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. The site works the same if you refuse.
The Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel runs on every visit, whatever you choose in the cookie banner. It records the pages you view and whether you sent an enquiry, and sets Meta cookies, so we can measure and improve our Meta adverts. Google and Meta process this data and may transfer it to the United States. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring our advertising. If you reached us through one of our Meta adverts, we also send Meta the outcome of your enquiry (enquiry received, quote sent, order placed) with a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and phone number, so Meta can match it to the advert. You can object at any time by writing to us, and you can block the pixel with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker.
If you refuse, or have not chosen yet, the Google tag still sends Google a cookieless signal that a page was viewed or an enquiry was sent, without storing anything on your device and with advertising identifiers removed. Google uses these signals in aggregate to estimate how many enquiries our adverts produced. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring whether our advertising works.
When you send a form we also record how you reached the site: the first page you opened, the site you came from and, if you clicked one of our adverts, the advert's campaign and search term. We also record the IP address the form was sent from, with the town, region and network it belongs to. This is kept with your enquiry so we know which adverts bring trade customers and to check enquiries for fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring our advertising and preventing fraud.
Your choice is stored in your browser, not in a cookie. Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) last up to 14 months; Google Ads cookies (_gcl_*) last up to 90 days. Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc) last up to 90 days.
Who we share it with
Suppliers who fulfil your order see only what they need to supply the part; they do not see your identity as a buyer. Freight forwarders and carriers receive delivery details. Our accountants, bank, IT and email providers process data on our instructions. We share data with authorities where the law requires, for example customs declarations. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Customers and forwarders outside the UK and the European Economic Area receive the data needed to deliver their own orders. Our own systems are hosted in the UK, the European Union and the United States under standard contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 12 months. Order, invoice and export records: seven years, as Dutch tax rules require. Server logs: 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and ask for it in a portable format. Write to info@sparesdock.com. You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
